RP graphite electrodes are widely used in small to medium electric arc furnaces for steelmaking, silicon, phosphorus, and aluminum production. They are suitable for moderate current densities, offering excellent electrical conductivity and thermal stability—an essential consumable in traditional metallurgical processes.
RP graphite electrodes are produced using high-quality petroleum coke primarily sourced from PetroChina Fushun Petrochemical. The manufacturing process includes calcination, batching, kneading, forming, baking, graphitization, and machining. Nipples are made using needle coke and petroleum coke, processed with one-time impregnation and two-time baking, ensuring excellent conductivity and thermal resistance.
